In these communications, the Government of Japan replied on its one outstanding case of enforced disappearance, concerning a Japanese national who was allegedly abducted by secret agents of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in 1977, and was last seen on Japanese territory. 187. The Working Group found that the responses did not contain sufficient information to clarify the fate or whereabouts of the disappeared persons. Information from sources 188.
