Kim Hak-Su, a Chinese national of Korean ethnicity, took part in the abduction of Reverend Kim Dong-Sik, a South Korean national, on January 16, 2000 from Yanji City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China to North Korea by the State Security Department (currently Ministry of State Security) and was later arrested after entering South Korea and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
